Bath & Body Works is finally in Malaysia KL's Nu Sentral!

Bath & Body Works is located on ground floor of Nu Sentral, a brand new mall close to KL Sentral.  The store is very colorful and full of fragrances. There were quite a lot of shoppers today and everybody were indulging in trying on their samples.  My favorite is still their Aromatherapy section's orange ginger.  It is so popular that they ran out of my favorite pillow mist today.  There wasn't much Xmas promotion today except PocketBac 3 for RM30, hand soap 2 for RM20.  Prices in Malaysia is quite high compared to U.S.  Body Mist RM62 which I bought it in U.S. few months back for around RM25, body lotion RM55, shampoo & conditioner RM45.  Even though price is high, I still couldn't resist myself to grab a few.

Panda Bears at Zoo Negara

Finally I got the time to go Zoo Negara's panda conservative center, with only 20 minutes per visit.  I was so surprised that there were only few visitors in the zoo. Both panda bears look really adorable sleeping most of the time.  Panda bears have very sensitive hearing that we weren't allow to make any noises while in there. The center is fully aircon and clean, staff really did a good job. I was snapping so many photos and videos in there that 20 minutes was really short. I didn't really want to leave until staff started to push all visitors out of the center.
I haven't been visited zoo for so long that I was amazed to see giraffes and camels in there. There are quite a number of birds walking around, flying everywhere. It's nice to spend few hours in there getting close to nature.

Jump Street Trampoline Park KL

Jump Street is located at the back of Bosch building in PJ.  There are some huge trampolines inside the warehouse for adults and children to jump on.  This is a good place to exercise and sweat. Remember to bring your towels and water for some fun.

Sasana Kijang BNM Numismatic Museum

I am very happy to find some coins that I have collected being display at the museum.  There are few coins that I bought at Amcorp Mall recently are fake, very disappointed!

This museum is well maintained and organized with numerous displays of coins, notes, machines and history.  The building has stunning architectural design and with nice interior décor which I enjoyed so much in there.  I am surprised that there weren’t many visitors on weekends.

There are ample of free parking space for visitors inside the parking lot.  Museum opens daily from 10am to 5pm.

Chocolate Museum at Kota Damansara

I found this Chocolate Museum while searching for museums in KL. It is quite easy to locate using GPS. It opens daily 10am-5pm. This museum is quite small with limited displays and with brief history about chocolate, quite interesting. Linked to the museum is a shop selling different brands of chocolate and a café with desserts and drinks.

Mystery of Iphone Wifi Slow Connection Solved!

Are you frustrated of having an Iphone with really slow wifi connection and started blaming on IOS 7 updates?  Did you try to turn your Iphone on and off, checking out all the settings found on phone just by hoping that your wifi connection will be faster?
I found a simple solution is just to take out your Iphone cover and your wifi connection problem will solve immediately!

See what I meant here. This the exact same location that I took pics of my Iphone.  Pic on left with Iphone cover, very slow wifi connection speed. Pic on right without Iphone cover, full speed.
Oh well, now I have to junk my barely used Iphone cover..

Video: Tracking baby birds development

It is really fascinating to take pictures of how baby birds hatched, grew up day by day and until day 12 that they flew away. I was sad to see the empty nest but happy for them that they finally able to fly.
I have put pictures into video by showing the development of baby birds growing up day by day.

Double Yolks, good or bad?

double yolks

Just when I was overjoyed by cracking two eggs with twin yolks, I found some scary predictions about double yolks on web. Nevertheless, I feel very lucky to see twin yolks especially before Easter!

Organic farming?

It is very disturbing to find out what was supposed to be organic farming turn out to watch farmer painting pesticides on stems and leaves at noon while elderly buy his produce in early morning hours. This is how I started trying out my own vegetable growing.

Growing corn is easy to start out. Peel corn kernels from fresh sweet corn, and then watch the seedlings coming out in a week time. Baby corn will start to grow within 2 months and that’s the time to watch out for pests like grasshoppers. I use newspaper to fan the leaves and grasshoppers will start jumping out one by one which I can easily catch them all. I don’t really like to spend time catching pests, so I keep a few frogs and toads around to do the job. They are excellent helpers and amaze to watch them grow such big size in short period of time.

After 3 months, my garden now is flourishing with different plants and more to come :)

Dragon fruit

Tumeric

Black sesame sprouts

Pineapple

Basil

Ginger
Pasley

Elephant Sanctuary at Kuala Gandah

It’s about 1.5hrs drive from KL, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Visitors get to feed elephants with peanuts and watch a 10 minutes elephant show, quite interesting. Though, sad to see those undernourished elephants..

Across from the centre is a small deer farm, which visitors can feed deer and take pictures with sun bear. Don’t miss that..

Found puppy

Local Malaysian mongrel dog

After a month of proper feeding and training, puppy changed drastically.  From a really sad look that was found on the street to a more nurture puppy. I am happy to see such a big change in this puppy.
Now the question is, should I keep it or give it away?

One year later..
This is how it looks after a year and now you all know the answer..

Genting vs Resorts World Sentosa

I still prefer Genting, which is much bigger in size. Resorts World Sentosa is new and nice, however couldn’t get entry tickets on a Monday afternoon at Universal Studio was a real turn off. I suppose I have never come across going to any theme park by not selling tickets on the same day. Though in general, service in Singapore is really good, very polite and well-spoken.
