Beware of Poor Quality Red Beans Coated with Red Colorant

For those red beans dessert lovers:
If you noticed red beans turn water red immediately after soaking, throw them away. This is due to devious traders coated red color on low graded red beans to make it look fresh and attractive for consumers to buy. Those beans won’t even turn soft after hours of cooking, not to mention added colorants can have potential harm to our body.
